Wouldn't it be awesome if we could make our own starcraft 2 server?

What about the same group that has already done it to starcraft 1 and warcraft 3? PvpGn I think.

They already done it, so why not do it for starcraft 2? I mean blizzard could already sue them for doing it to starcraft 1.? What's the difference.

  • Thanks for the link.

Well that sux.. I won't buy the game since my friend won't buy it which I play with alot, he doesn't spend money on games so xD (unless no one cracks the server side i will have to convince him and buy the game myself too )

At this point i have no reason for buying anyway since there are hardly custom maps, I dont buy the game for online ranking or VS could care less about that, it's all about the custom maps for me, and those will take months if not a lot longer to make since release.

But anyways about the battlenet being restricted in what way? We can create and host any custom game we have created still yes I suppose?

  • single player nothing to do with multyplayer!
you are not cloning anything to emulate you just unlock what was always there!

multyplayer has the money sooner or later everybody finishes the campaign, but after 12 years only multiplayer survives! thats why B.net2 is so important to them its the only after sale source of incomming money! just think of it 3 sc2 games and a Diablo3 + expansion all in B.net2!!!

its their mineral field and unlimited vespin gasyer, if you dare to nuke them they WILL hunt you down, and you know what, even if you do it why to do it? nobody will give you anything besides a small tnx in a forum!

insted apply for a job and work for them! and make from your ideas and some money to live better!

in the end of the day no mater how altruistic i may be my self, 'Thanks' doesnt transform to FOOD in your plate to eat and survive! Money on the other hand does! ;-)

    lets be realistic.

  • good point vernam7!!

however, they may give u money, but i think appreciation wise its definitely more out here..

if u don't mind me asking, is sc2ALLin1 (v10.3.3) latest version out yet? If not, when?~

Thanks heaps we all deeply appreciate your work!! (even though we cannot pay you like Blizzard does..)

  • Reverse engineers are most highly payed persons on the planet. and to prove that you are a good one, you have to show some skills, most games and soft is cracked just to show that someone is good enough for it. So sooner or later, there will be crack for multy or whatever, coz there will be aways ppl who learn to reverse.

    Posted 2010-07-30
  • Like Blizzard isn't making enough money!

    Posted 2010-07-30
  • @Ghos you are confused! and thats ok because you probably dont undersntand how the sc2 engine works!

what we do with the launcher Is NOT illegal because is a sort of an automated Mod!
i open a map i edit it (not cracking it) i am adding all that is needed (AI,scripts etc) automatically (you could all do that from the galaxy editor it self if you spend arrouns 15mins per game setup) and then i tell sc2 without cracking it to load that Moded map for me and play!

i just have the map in a 'Skirmish' style mod! there is nothing illegal in that! (the only bad part was cracking the latest beta version to skip authendication) besides that if you had been a normal beta tester you used the crack for cutom AI and training offline! blizzard never said in the EUALA you are not autorized to play offline this is not an mmo!

the b.net emulation its different is a service they provide and you are steeling it by cloning it!

anyway this conversation could go on and on, the point is that was i say its not only by XP but has proven proofs! the launcher was never asked by Blizzard to be taken down! the crack for single player and b.net emulator DID! why? that tells everything!

    ;-)

sure but they worth it in most parts!
after all if you were one of them working would you like to stay without a job because of piracy and bad quality games?

i am not saiying Blue is Perfect, on the other hand they have been very greedy the last months specially after Activition merge, and they dont respect all end users.

  • what about LAN emulator or something? only LAN ! that would be great!

i wont buy it cuz it doesnt have LAN, and for me no lan = 0

  • Campaign was quite fun but it was short and for me it was just a small addition.
Vernam is quite right, most ppl play SC2 to have some fun with friends.
Sadly because of blizzard greed the most important part of SC2 is defective.

Nothing can replace good LAN party nor ability to play with a friend when your ISP have problems or Battlenet sewers are down.

SC2 seems to be great game .. but battlnet just suck hard :( Instead of improving it they made a few steps back.

    Posted 2010-07-30
  • We actually hate Blizzard, other companies are happy to if we make their games that aren't popular or playable on internet because servers are down, popular among people again.

    Posted 2010-07-31
  • Well, the way I see it, it's just a short matter of time before a LAN option is available. I can almost promise it won't be from Blizzard, they're just a bunch of greedy bastards who make fake excuses as to why we can't have LAN, saying that Battle.net is a world class gaming experience and so that justifies having no LAN support.

I can promise you, however, that somebody, a group of people most likely, is currently monitoring the coms with battle.net servers and quickly reverse engineering the process so that they can make a LAN option.

I'm really not interested in buying the game until LAN support is out there one way or another. and until then I'll continue to use a cracked version because quite frankly the beta turned me away from battle.net 2 in ways I never thought possible until pre ordering the game, which by the way I have not paid for and will not be picking up for the reasons I'm ranting about now.

So I quess good night, and good luck for now. just wait for a crack, it won't be long, and then I'm sure millions more will rush out to by SC2 because of a crack some kid made in his mom's basement.

    Fuck you blizzard.

    Posted 2010-08-01
  • I actually bought 'Warcraft 3' 3 times already. Only because of respect for Blizzard and his games. But DOTA wasnt created by Blizzard, most of the Starcraft, Warcraft 3 leagues and competitions wasn't organized by Blizzard. Blizzard had a greate succes, because many enthusiastic young people took the time to do all of this work for Blizzard, for free of course. They Should Be Thankfull For That. Its not all about money. Its about respect and cooperation, giving space for everything that needs to exist so this complexity can go further and thrive.

  • If there was lan crack then we could use use hamachi or anything like to play online. Some organized sites would make servers and let ppl play.

I saw a site saying that a 'Professional Version' will be available to tournament host with LAN! but only to the tournamnet hosts :(

    SOME DETAILS:
    1. There will be an upcoming 'Ongame Net Starcraft 2 League,' or OSL2.
    2. The sponsor of the first one will be Korean Air.
    3. The first OS2L will have preliminaries all over the world and then the players will be gathered in Seoul for the Ro16.
    4. There will be a 'Starcraft 2 Professional Edition' that will only be provided to tournament organizers, which will include LAN functionality. Only with a special account + password that gets activated will it work. Blizzard staff will be present at tournaments to assist. Apparently, this news was first told to the organizers of the Stars War tournament after it had ended.
